Introduction
A Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN) is an organization of software professionals in a particular geographical area. These software professionals are interested in software process improvement. The SPIN chapter in Bulgaria (SPIN-BG) provides a forum where software professionals in Bulgaria come together to share ideas, information, methodologies and experiences on software process improvement (SPI) and embrace programs such as the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) which would benefit all participating organizations. SPIN-BG is an informal organization run by volunteers on a non-profit basis. It is a voluntary effort moderated and facilitated by the Coordinator and the Steering Committee.
Mission Statement Software Process Improvement Network - Bulgaria (SPIN-BG) is a professional leadership forum for the free and open exchange of software process improvement experiences and practical ideas. We promote achieving higher levels of process maturity, software quality, and mutual respect. Our goal is to help sustain commitment and enhance skills through an active program of networking, publications, recognition of excellence, and mutual support, thus raising the level of competitiveness of the Bulgarian software industry on the global market.
